Committee of Trustees
DCT's committee is currently comprised of 6 Trustees. These are entirely voluntary roles, with 5 trustees elected from the Dunvegan Community Trust ordinary (resident) membership , and 1 appointed by the Dunvegan Community Council to act as their representative. We also have space on the committee for 2 additional trustees, who can be appointed on the basis of their expertise with regards to specific projects or initiatives.
Trustees are elected at our AGM, which is usually at the beginning of the calendar year. Trustees oversee the strategic operations of the organisation and it's really important that they are a diverse group in order to best represent the reality of our demographic. If you're interested in joining the committee and guiding the work and projects over the next few years, please get in touch and we can talk about the time commitment and responsibilities. We're keen to make sure these roles are accessible to people with a range of requirements, including those who work full time and parent!

Volunteer Opportunities
Tool Library - We're looking for folk to join a working group responsible for establishing a tool library in Gaeltec Buildings! Are you interested in this project? Whether you plan to use it, have ideas about the space, or can help in setting it up, we encourage you to get in touch!
Cnoc nan Craobh - DCT feels incredibly fortunate to have been able to purchase Cnoc nan Craobh so that it remains as a resource to be enjoyed by the whole community. Local community consultation prioritised the woodland to be managed for native woodland and biodiversity, and low key recreation......but we need you help to do so!
A small group of volunteers has made a start on tackling the invasives, but we hope that a committed group will continue to look after the woodland into the future. If you would be interested in helping with some practical outdoor work such as invasives clearence, path maintenance or fencing repair, then please have a look at our current volunteer events or contact Jenny at
Community Minibus - We manage the minibus, which is used by lots of groups across the North West. If you're interested in becoming a volunteer driver please get in touch! We're also facilitating Minibus Driver Awarenenss Scheme assesments over the next few months if you'd like a bit of training first.
Dunvegan Community Park - We lease the park land from Highland Council and redeveloped the park in 2025. We arrange the occasional tidy up session to keep the brambles under control and keep it looking good, and we also carry out short weekly inspections. If you visit the park frequently anyway, and would like to contribute to the project by logging inspections, please get in touch!
